M.J. Krishna Kumar completed his under-graduation in India from Vinayaka Mission Kirubananda Variyar Medical College and his post-graduation from PSG Institute of Medical Science, Coimbatore, attached to Dr.MGR Medical University, Chennai. Further, he completed his DNB Ortho (Additional Degree) from the National Board of Examination,India. He has finished a fellowship in joint replacement at BIRRD Hospital, Tirupathi, Andhra Pradesh, and as fellowship in arthroscopy and sports medicine at Llandough Hospital, Cardiff, United Kingdom.
Throughout his professional life, he has gained extensive knowledge in treating both Simple and Complex orthopaedic conditions, particularly in the areas of sports medicine and knee and shoulder surgery.
He practices and firmly believes that everyone should have access to the latest breakthroughs in orthopaedic surgery. He is currently one of the few well-known orthopaedic surgeons in Madurai and is connected to several orthopaedic hospitals in the area.

Currently working as Assistant Professor at Velammal Medical College and Research Institute, Madurai since August 2020. Working in a busy tertiary level centre providing a full range of treatment modalities from general trauma, Joint replacement and various Arthroscopy procedures (Shoulder & Knee, Ankle). Spending significant amount of time in paper works, seminar preparations and conferences and updating my personal skills in Orthopaedics.
